on life changes and seasonal living on another note, i've just planted my herb garden for this year. last year i tried tomatoes, but for various reasons they failed. this year is herbs and one pepper plant so far. i want to live much more seasonally than i ever have before. what i do, what i eat, when i sleep, how much i am outside. i hole up in my apartment far too much. it's a safety net thing, i think. i've been reading the newest book by Mireille Guiliano, French Women for all Seasons, which explains my seasonal living kick. but it's more than just that book. living close to nature is something i've always aspired toward, but this book has given me new insights. i highly recommend it...and not just for information. it's a light, fun, summertime read as well. what else...what else? there is so much to do, so much i want to do.... i want to get more into my practice, and redefine what is spiritual in my life. it's been spiritually empty. i guess the best definition for what i "practice" is kitchen witchery. it helps me connect with god in a way that christianity did not. i need to write more, definitely. i will be posting here much more frequently...rants and ravings and ponderings on life, as well as my boring old updates. i want to get something, anything, published this year. there's so much more...i can't think right now enough to clarify. more later! this, that and the other *~*The old stuff*~* Lovin the WordPress - 2007-11-17 Moved... - 2007-11-12 on life changes and seasonal living - 2007-05-28 waiting - 2007-04-14 where does the easter bunny come from? now i know... - 2007-04-10 |
